NOFI Oppdrettservice AS is a certified service station, and complies with standards in NYTEK regulations and NS 94154 for inspection and repairs of product-certified seine nets for use in floating aquaculture systems. There is an extremely sharp focus on quality - customers must always be confident that the most diligent service is carried out on their seine nets and equipment throughout the products’ service lifetime.

Cleaning

We have good cleaning capacity and can handle nets up to 200 m in circumference. Cleaning is done carefully, yet the process gives a very good result. Net cleaning is carried out thoroughly in a controlled process.

Net service

To ensure an optimal service lifetime for a seine net, it is important that it is inspected regularly. In our modern net workshops, at Skjervøy and Kvalsund, our skilled employees repair and inspect seine nets in accordance with NS 9415.

Impregnation

Nets are impregnated in a vacuum impregnator, in which the impregnating agent is pumped several times through the net. Surplus fluid is then pumped out for re-use. Our impregnation process gives an excellent final result, with minimal consumption and means that the net will retain its properties well throughout its service lifetime.

Drying

We have two different drying processes; at Skjervøy, nets are dried in a huge drying drum, whilst at the new service station in Kvalsund, nets are dried in a drying room. Both drying processes are based on dehumidification, which saves energy and gives an extremely good result.

Warehouse

We also have an effective storage and logistics system and seine nets are preferably stored indoors. Indoor storage is considered the best storage method for seine nets.
